Ruxandra Aelenei

Ruxandra is a versatile urban planner and mobility expert, interested in and fascinated by the complexity of cities as ever evolving systems. “I view mobility from a broad perspective, giving a lot of attention to its interaction with other complementary urban topics”. She brings with her a multidisciplinary education and an extensive professional experience in the field of sustainable urban mobility and cycling, at different scales, in the Netherlands and abroad in: Romania, Georgia, Belgium, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, the Palestinian Territories, South Africa, Mozambique, Uganda, etc.

As strategic mobility consultant at the City of Utrecht, she works at integrated and complex urban development projects, with sustainable urban mobility (cycling, walking, public transport) as spearhead.

DCE-expertise: Cycling network planning, integrated mobility planning, cycling highways planning, research on various topics related to cycling.

DCE-experience: Presentations and study tours for visiting groups from various countries.
