Last Tuesday, 26st of June, Dutch Cycling Embassy received a group of 40 students and 7 staff members of Universität Kassel at the YES!Delft building. Ineke Spape, one of most influential professionals in transport planning in The Netherlands and professor at DCE member NHTV – Breda University of Applied Sciences, facilitated a lively introductory lecture on Dutch cycling culture and planning.
In this 2-hours interactive session, Ineke explained about comparative aspects between Germany and the Netherlands in the context of cycling-inclusive transport planning, and the students were presented multiple choice questions on various aspects of Dutch cycling themes.
The University’s visit was part of a multiple day’s study visit to the Netherlands. We wish the students a very pleasant stay in the Netherlands and we hope to stay connected to Kassel’s traffic and logistics planners of the future!
